Max Park
Co-Founder & Co-President
Max Park is a student at Palos Verdes High School and a lifelong resident of the Palos Verdes community. Fascinated by science and human development from a young age, Max pursued a biomedical internship at The Lundquist Institute, where he studied neurotherapeutics and developed a strong interest in cognitive health.
Through his volunteer work in patient care at a local hospital and as a crisis listener at the Palos Verdes Community Helpline, Max became particularly interested in aging and brain health. Research has shown that playing games can help strengthen memory and even delay the onset of dementia—a realization that hit close to home as he watched his grandparents experience memory loss.
Motivated by both science and personal experience, Max co-founded Brain Games PV to foster social engagement, promote cognitive stimulation, and create meaningful connections for older adults in his community.
Oscar Park
Co-Founder & Co-President
Oscar Park is a pre-med student at UCLA majoring in psychobiology who has lived in the Palos Verdes community his entire life. Like his younger brother Max, Oscar developed an early passion for the sciences—particularly health and the brain. He completed a fellowship at The Lundquist Institute, where his research focused on nutrition and its impact on overall health and well-being. At UCLA, his coursework includes Physiology & Human Biology and Psychological Statistics, deepening his understanding of the mind-body connection.
Inspired by the cognitive and emotional benefits that games brought to his grandparents, Oscar co-founded Brain Games PV to bring the same sense of connection and mental stimulation to others. By combining his research background with a passion for community service, Oscar aims to help older adults stay mentally active while fostering meaningful social interactions.
